Well, my 13 year old flight yoke has given up the ghost affraid  It was never built for combat after all.  I tried to fly with the mouse but it just doesn't make any sense to me and I don't enjoy the experience.  I'm looking into what joystick to get and will not likely be online much until I get it.  I may pull out my 18 year old gameport joystick & see if it works in the meantime - we'll see.

I'm looking forward to getting back in the (virtual) fight.

My short break has become a longer hiatus.  After some research I decided to take newfs advice and ordered an x52.  It is on "back-order" with no stated delivery date.
Sad
I may try to jury-rig my old device for a few battles this weekend.

let me know if you have any problems setting up your x52 when you get it, it can be tricky, depending on how you want it set up.

So I fixed one break on my old yoke and a new break has started already. No flying for me for a while :-(

Got a call from the shop... the warehouse shipped my joystick. It has been so long, I am going to have to learn all over again. Maybe I'll be online flying early next week. bounce

affraid  Finally got the call... my joystick is in! affraid

Now I need the time to pick it up... install... setup... and then learn how to fly all over again. Laughing

Yes! The new setup is a real treat, but it will take some time for me to configure to my liking. I've been in a few battles and each time there is something that I want to change. I need more time... I wish I had some extra vacation time ;-)
